ABOUT EUROMUS

Euromus (also Euromos) was an ancient city in Caria, Anatolia, situated at the foot of Mount Grium approximately 12 km northwest of Milas in Muğla Province, Turkey. Its standout monument is the Temple of Zeus Lepsinos from the reign of Emperor Hadrian — one of the best-preserved classical temples in all of Turkey, with sixteen columns still standing, most inscribed in honor of the citizens who commissioned their construction. The temple site has origins traced back at least to the 6th century BC.
