ABOUT LIMYRA
Limyra (Ancient Greek: Λίμυρα; Lycian: 𐊈𐊚𐊎𐊒𐊕𐊁) was a small city in ancient Lycia on the southern coast of Asia Minor, on the Limyrus River. Already flourishing in the second millennium BCE, it was one of the oldest and most prosperous cities in all of Lycia, gradually becoming one of the finest trade settlements in the wider Greek world. Its ruins are located within the Finike district of Antalya Province, near the towns of Turunçova and Sahilkent.
